Portofino and the Explorers

Well, it was just a whim of mine to reward everyone who helped me with my job. They are my friends in colleges, namely: Ana Mae Fano, Jobeth Jennifer Tampus, Stephanie Suerte, and Jeanive Panimdim. Also, I don't know where to spend my leftover money since I did not get to travel to Davao as I missed my plane. So I spent my allowance for that failed travel with my friends at Portofino Beach Resort.

Viola~!

We started the journey towards the place from SM Cebu. We took the van there because we know that the fare is just cheap. The five of us each spent 40php for the fare from SM Cebu to Lapu-Lapu City.

After the ride in the van, we then took a jeepney (fare is 7php) so that we can reach Angsil. I just realized that it was tiring but exciting at the same time. We almost got lost but thank God there was a good policeman who taught us the direction we have to take to reach the place.

When we reached the place, we figured out we won't be able to reach the gates of the beach resort if we do not walk there. Bracing ourselves to a short hike, we made our way off-road. Once we reached the gates, we took lots of photos as proof of our successful journey. It was lots of fun on the way so the walk did not really bother us all that much.

At last, the end of the journey..

It was my first time going to a resort in Lapu-Lapu so I was particular excited. I want to see how good the beaches are for the place. Well, it was not utterly disappointing but I guess the beach we have back home in Davao is still much better than this one. Nevertheless, it was fun swimming at sea despite the fact that there are lots of rocks underwater that hurt my feet.

We also rented a tent so that we can eat our fill while we take a break from swimming. Me and Jeanive walked a few miles from the beach resort just to find grilled chicken and puso. We also order pancit bilao which seems to be the specialty of the resort. I liked the flavor of their pancit bilao although I must admit that I did not like the thick noodles. We also ate ice cream, which was contributed by Jeanive and Stephanie.

The New Face of Selecta.

We ate immediately after all the food we ordered from the resort was served to us. Even though we left at nine o'clock from SM Cebu, we arrived at the resort at around noon so we were already so hungry! Well, not that it can't be helped. I was also the reason why we arrived so late. I overslept, nya~

After lunch, we prepared ourselves to dive into the sea. Stephanie, Ana Mae (aka Nami), and Jeanive changed their clothes to fit with the occasion. Only Jobeth was the one who did not swam so we left our things to her.

It was almost four when we decided to leave. Of course, it is necessary for us to leave early. After all, we need more than an hour or so just to reach our respective houses in the city. However, we did not leave until we got some proof of our fun times.

It was almost dark already when we arrived at the city. From our ride from Lapu-Lapu City, we got off at SM Cebu again. The jeep terminal at the said place allows for us to reach our house in one ride, after all.

The A Team?

Since Jeanive is still going to travel for an hour more to Naga (her house's location), she left earlier than us. However, the night hasn't ended yet for the four of us: me, Jobeth, Nami, and Stephanie. We decided to catch a movie. It was spontaneous on our part, not part of the plan, so it was fun.
