Komikon 2011 at Bayanihan Center, Unilab, Pasay, Manila, Philippines!

That's where I went last November 19, 2011.

I was actually expecting to see my favorite Filipino comic artists there. I already inquired beforehand if my favorite artists will be there and I received affirmation of that. That is why I, equipped with my precious copies of Trese and Kikomachine, waited in line to enter the packed place where comics geeks and nerds like me gather.

Manila Escapade

You see, I'm the type of person who is spontaneous. So one day, I decided to pack my bags and travel to Manila all on my own. And it was just right on the week of my birthday, Nov. 22! It was not a sudden trip, though. I decided on the trip as a birthday gift to myself way before so I got a ticket months before my actual birthday.

Portofino and the Explorers

Well, it was just a whim of mine to reward everyone who helped me with my job. They are my friends in colleges, namely: Ana Mae Fano, Jobeth Jennifer Tampus, Stephanie Suerte, and Jeanive Panimdim. Also, I don't know where to spend my leftover money since I did not get to travel to Davao as I missed my plane. So I spent my allowance for that failed travel with my friends at Portofino Beach Resort.

And trust is the most important thing that you need in order for you to move forward in life. I may be a badass teenager and your a total modern geek wannabe, but I'm sure that I'll live to see the day when Karma lashes her whip on you.

Yeah, right.

Everyone is so fucked up in their own little world, so wrapped up in the power they are holding, that they are now dead drunk with the toxicity of it all. What's worse is that they are showing it all off, that the home where the majority of us seek refuge is now poisoned.

I want to run away before I break the pillars of that House.

I am just so fed up.

The Purple Inkers invades Imperial Palace

So, after many months of hiatus, I am finally back! And this time, it's a travelogue!

As a company outing, The Purple Inkers invades Maribago, Lapu-Lapu's Imperial Palace!

We started our trip with a breakfast at Jollibee SM. Since it is still an early 8:30, we took the breakfast meals offered by the famous fast food chain. I took the liberty to order the Corned Beef with Egg combination. Take note, our boss made sure that it was an all-expense-paid trip! Yay!

After that, we took a taxi towards our destination - Imperial Palace Waterpark and Spa Cebu!
